888poker XL Blizzard: "DePittsterje" Wins $20,000 R&A Event

On the fifth day of the 888poker XL Blizzard Series, just three tournaments were played. Let's take a look who were crowned winners in these events on Monday.

888poker XL Blizzard #14 - $20,000 R&A

At 6:30 p.m. GMT, the $20,000 R&A event started and after the late registration period. There were 417 players who entered and they created a prize pool of $25,800 with 237 rebuys and 206 add-ons. The last 54 players of this event would get paid, but all eyes were on the final table.

After "BloodyReveng" busted in 10th place, the remaining nine players went to the final table. On the final table, the tournament lost "HATE007" (ninth, $428), "dulek_jason" (eight, $581) and "pactamah23" (seventh, $839) in quick succession. The last six players were guaranteed at least a four-figure score.

After that, "Virgul94" (sixth, $1,097), "A3connect" (fifth, $1,445), "KeepTrying05" (fourth, $2,064) and "xzzzx15" (third, $2,709) busted to get to the final heads-up between "HyperX." and "DePittsterje".

In the end, it was "DePittsterje" who finished on top to snag the first prize of $4,951. "HyperX." had to settle for second place ($3,677).

888poker XL Blizzard #15 - $10,000 Mini R&A

There was also a Mini edition with a buy-in of just $5.50 to be played. In total, 1,172 players competed in this event, and they made for 826 rebuys and 510 add-ons. That made for a $12,540 prize pool with a first-place prize just over $2,164.

In the end, it was a Lithuanian player who took the XL Blizzard title and the aforementioned first-place prize money. Runner-up "EastBeast888" finished in second place for $1,568 while "JacktheCpt" took 'bronze' and $1,191.

888poker XL Blizzard #16 - $15,000 Late R&A

Another winner was crowned in the XL Blizzard #16 - $15,000 Late R&A, where 656 players competed to create a prize pool of $19,500.

After just seven hours and 17 minutes, it was United Kingdom's "MoOoN30" who took the title and the first-place prize of $3,656. The winner defeated Brazil's "shoveanyto" in the deciding heads-up after "Hudder5" finished in third place.
