On the first weekend of the 888poker XL Inferno Series, things kicked off with three new tournaments on the schedule. The XL Inferno #7 - $30,000 8-Max kicked off at 20:00 GMT. After late registration closed, there were 506 registered players. That resulted in a pretty big prize pool of $50,600 with $9,614 reserved for the winner. More than nine hours were played before a champion was crowned.
Eight players made the final table, securing themselves of $1,012. "cosmiNik" (eighth, $1,012), "NinyaWarrior" (seventh, $1,265), "psyhoagromor" (sixth, $1,771), "Brounoc" (fifth, $2,530) were eliminated in quick succession. After that, "NakedNaked" (fourth, $3,795) and "VL1fish3BV" (third, $5,313) missed out on the final heads-up.
"rickybarbosa" battled against "SpielerKind" and in the end, the aforementioned won against his or her opponent to be crowned the winner. But before that happened, the two final players made a deal where "rickybarbosa" received a prize of $9,148 and the runner-up $7,550.

There was also a Mini Edition of the 8-Max on the schedule for the players who couldn't afford the biggest buy-in ($109) of the day. To compete in this tournament, players had to pay the buy-in of $8.80 and there were 2,356 players competing for a prize pool of $18,848. Every finalist in this tournament would secure him- or herself of $188 but all eyes were on the top prize of $3,299.
That top prize went to the Russian player "krakadiller", who won this event after defeating "AAtreyu2199" in the deciding heads-up. The runner-up received a prize of $2,356 for his or her efforts.
