"DeuceofDuc0" Wins the 888poker WPTDeepStacks London Marathon ($23,250)
Day 5 of the $2 million guaranteed WPTDeepStacks London was another big one as 888poker showcased two big events including the WPTDS #9: $100,000 Marathon covered from beginning to end by the PokerNews Live Reporting Team.
The action for this event was also broadcasted on the newly relaunched 888pokerTV Twitch channel with Nick Wealthall and David Tuchman hosting the action and entertaining the masses.
"DeuceofDuc0" has been a regular at 888poker for many years and now has a WPTDeepStacks title to add to their resume after shipping the Marathon for $23,250.
Meanwhile, "Triplebluff1" also claimed a WPTDeepStacks title after bringing home the bacon in the Half Marathon for $11,429.

888poker grinder "DeuceofDuc0" won the first WPTDeepStacks London event of the day after beating "JPiernik" in heads-up play to win the $23,250 in the WPTDS #9 - $100,000 Marathon. "JPiernik" collected $16,500 for second place while "RuskiBotski" joined them on the podium with a third-place finish worth $12,000.
The tournament witnessed many big names including 888poker Ambassadors Sofia "sofialovgren" Lovgren and Chris "888Moorman" Moorman. Lovgren couldn't repeat her recent success of a third-place finish in the $100,000 High Roller but Moorman did manage a min-cash of $1,420. Former 888poker Ambassador and 2014 WSOP Main Event champion Martin "MJacobson888" Jacobson was also in the action, and like Moorman managed to min-cash.
Among the notable players to cash deeper than Moorman and Jacobson were Felipe "mr.salgado" Salgado (fourth - $8,590), Maksim "MAMOHT_T" Viktorovich (fifth - $6,040), and Konstantin "excimiii" Hammermuller (11th - $1,550).
The tournament attracted 180 entries giving the players that cashed extra value with a juicy $10,000 in overlay thanks to the tournament's generous $100,000 guarantee.

The WPTDeepStacks London #10 - $50,000 Half Marathon began one minute after Event #9. As the event title suggests, this tournament featured half the guarantee of $50,000 instead of $100,000. The buy-in was cut even more by about two-thirds from $525 to $165.
The $50,000 guarantee was merely a placeholder as the event attracted 395 entries to create a $68,650 prize pool to smash the $50,000 guarantee.
"Triplebluff1" banked the top prize of $11,429 after defeating "GoodNickname" (second - $8,271) in heads-up play. Also finishing near the top of the pack were "xFink_Ploydx" (third - $6,020), "Txinkue90" (fourth - $4,361), and "Outlier360" (fifth - $3,176).
Meanwhile, Roman "EyeofSkadi" Matveychuk came close to yet another big result at 888poker but fell short of the final table to hit the rail in 13th place for $527.
