888poker XL Spring Series 2025

They say time and tide waits for no man, and the former is particularly important because time is rapidly running out to enter the $500,000 guaranteed XL Spring Series Mystery Bounty Main Event at 888poker. Several Day 1s are done and dusted, with 1,085 players (including re-entries) buying in for $250. Only 125 have progressed to Day 2 on May 26.

The $500,000 Mystery Bounty Main Event requires 2,145 entrants to hit the guarantee. Currently, 888poker is approximately halfway there. However, with Day 2 scheduled for 10:30 p.m. BST on May 26, there are only four days remaining to play your way into this huge tournament.

"icho90" is the current chip leader with 256,619 chips, or 103 big blinds. That impressive sum will take some catching, but it is doable. Mexico's "3AHYDA" ran hot and played well on their chosen Day 1, firing one bullet and turning their 10,000 starting stack into 240,674 chips. Germany's "Jowisten" completes the podium courtesy of their 225,014 stack.

Only six big blinds separate fourth place through tenth. 888poker regular "algsxr" has fired 10 bullets at this event. Their tenth attempt went well, with them ultimately bagging up 198,640 chips. Seventh-placed "SeT4x4" also fired multiple times, seven at the time of writing. They return for Day 2 with 194,685 chips.

888poker ambassador Ian "Simpioni" Simpson is another stellar name through to Day 2 of the XL Spring Series Mystery Bounty Main Event. However, the in-form star will have plenty of work to do because his 29,440 stack is worth the equivalent of 12 big blinds; he is currently in 112th place.

Twenty-two of the 54 numbered events have crowned their champions, each seeing a healthy return on their investments. "CptnJec" is the series' biggest winner so far, having triumphed in the $109 Opening Event PKO for an impressive $16,287.

That sum will be blown out of the water during the Mystery Bounty Main Event, not least because the jackpot bounty in that tournament is worth a quite ridiculous $50,000!
