The 2024/2025 season of the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) is now over. The last festival ended over the weekend, tidying the schedule up just ahead of the start of the 2025 World Series of Poker.

The last festival of the season saw hundreds of poker players turn out to play at the WSOP Circuit Commerce Casino.

Among the competitors were players like Cindy Spier, who won her second ring after having won the Seniors event at the WSOP Circuit Pompano Beach back in February, and Jorge Alba, who won two rings at the Commerce, taking down the $600 H.O.R.S.E. event and the $400 Omaha 8-or-better event.

The Commerce also hosted the WSOP Tournament of Champions. Players who had won a WSOP title in the last year were invited to play the $1 million freeroll, which ultimately went to Kevin Li.

Main Event Action

Apart from the TOC, the next biggest draw of the festival was the $1,700 Main Event. This was the last of WSOPC main event of the season.

The honor of victory went to Artur Papazyan.

The Main Event was massive, drawing in 1,554 players across it's multiple Day 1 flights. With so many entries, this event beat the $2 million guarantee by a handy margin as the total prize pool ended up being $2,354,306.

Papazyan had a tough final table to beat, including poker legend Phil Laak who came sixth and Adam Swan who came third.

"I don't have too much experience with it, but I think I did pretty well," Papazyan told WSOP.com after his win, speaking about the deep stack he held going into the final phases of the game. "It wasn't easy. It was rocky. And I lost a bunch of all-ins, but eventually I got lucky there in the end!"

Papazyan was able to hang in there, going on to beat Luis Concha heads up for first place. Concha won $232,038 for second place.
