WCOOP Returns This September; Boot Camp Offers $9M Warm-Up & Free BBZ Coaching

The World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), PokerStars’ flagship online series, is officially locked in for its 24th edition, running from September 7 to October 1, 2025.

Before the action kicks off, PokerStars is giving players the chance to sharpen their skills and win their way in through a newly enhanced WCOOP Boot Camp, offering $9 million in guarantees, a packed tournament schedule, and expert coaching.

Train Before You Battle

Running August 3–18, the WCOOP Boot Camp is designed to give players of all levels the opportunity to prepare for the main series.

There are 137 tournaments across Low and High tiers, including formats like NLHE, 8-Game, HORSE, Razz, and even PL Badugi, with buy-ins ranging from $2.20 to $5,200. There’s also a special Women’s Event on the schedule.

The Boot Camp culminates in two Main Events on August 17:

$109 NLHE Main Event Low – $600,000 GTD
$1,050 NLHE Main Event High – $400,000 GTD

Learn From BBZ Poker’s Finest

As with last year, PokerStars has teamed up with BBZ Poker, the coaching team trusted by ambassadors Lex Veldhuis, Spraggy, Fintan Hand, and Parker Talbot.

BBZ founder Jordan “bigbluffzinc” Drummond will lead three free coaching sessions on August 1, 8, and 15, hosted on the PokerStars Discord server.

The sessions will include strategic breakdowns, WCOOP-specific tips, and ticket giveaways.

Win Your Way to WCOOP: Leaderboard & Ticket Machine

There are two ways to earn WCOOP tickets through Boot Camp promotions.

1. WCOOP Boot Camp Leaderboard – $60,000 in Prizes

Open to events up to $215. The top 100 players will receive:

1st–4th: $10,300 Gold Power Pass
5th–8th: $2,500 Silver Power Pass
9th–100th: $109 Bronze Power Pass

2. WCOOP Boot Camp Ticket Machine – $150,000 in WCOOP Tickets

Players must opt in via the Challenges Window starting July 31, and complete:

10 WCOOP Boot Camp events
OR finish in the money in two events

Each completed challenge earns one entry to the prize draw:

Draw #1: August 12 – covers events played Aug 3–11
Draw #2: August 19 – covers events played Aug 12–18
