Exciting tournament poker action is heading to the Hoosier State later this month with the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Grand Prix Caesars Southern Indiana.
The 10-ring series runs from August 19-24 in Elizabeth, Indiana, a small town about a half-hour drive from Louisville, Kentucky. All the action will take place inside the Caesars Southern Indiana resort. Hotel discounts are available for RGPS players.
Series Highlights
The series, part of the RGPS Grand Prix fall race to gold, kicks off at 10 a.m. with a $300 buy-in Seniors Ring Event for the 50-and-over crowd. Three additional ring events begin on opening day, including the first shot at the $100 On-Demand Flip and Go.
There are three days of the on-demand flip and go's before Day 2 on Aug. 22, where everyone still standing will come back and play down to a winner.
The $800 buy-in Main Event begins at 6 p.m. on Aug. 21 with the first of four Day 1 starting flights. Flight B (Aug. 22), Flight C (Aug. 23), and Flight D (Aug. 23) will follow. Day 2 is slated for Aug. 24, the final day of the series. There will be one additional tournament on that final day, a one-day affair, with the $300 Black Chip Bounty Ring Event, a staple at RGPS stops.
No-limit hold'em isn't the only game on the schedule. There are two variations of Omaha planned for this series, starting with the $400 Turbo PLO Ring Event on Aug. 21. This one permits $100 rebuys.
The second Omaha tournament, on Aug. 22, is the $400 Big O Ring Event at 3 p.m. PokerNews will be on-site bringing you all the action in Southern Indiana with our exclusive live reporting coverage.
