UKPC Masters at Dusk Till Dawn

The UK Poker Championships (UKPC) Masters kicked off at Dusk Till Dawn over the weekend, but the biggest and richest tournaments are still to come. One of those juicy tournaments is the £500,000 guaranteed UKPC Masters Main Event that shuffles up and deals on September 4. If the previous edition of this tournament is anything to go by, there will be far more than £500,000 awarded by the time the champion is crowned.

A £560 buy-in, £500,000 guaranteed UKPC Main Event took place in late January, and it was very well attended. By the time late registration closed during the final flight, 1,332 players had bought in, creating a £639,360 prize pool.

Plenty of household names were among the 197 in-the-money finishers. They included Guy Taylor, Michael Zhang, Lorenc Boci, Jamie O'Connor, Timothy Chung, Brandon Sheils, Tom Middleton, Chris Da-Silva, and recent bracelet winner Joshua Boulton.

The guarantee-besting prize pool meant all but one of the nine finalists took home a five-figure prize. The eventual champion, Jake Betts, turned his £560 entry into a career-best £85,270 after striking a deal with and defeating David Lloyd heads-up; Lloyd received £83,730 for his efforts, again, a career-high.

The UKPC Masters Main Event features four flights, with Day 1a, 1b, and 1c kicking off at 12:00 p.m. BST on September 4, 5, and 6, respectively. Those looking for a last-gasp attempt to progress to Day 2 can enter a turbo-structured Day 1 at 7:00 p.m. BST on September 6.

Day 2 explodes into action from noon on September 7, with the third and final day scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. BST start on September 8.

If you have a GGPoker account and fancy taking a shot at the UKPC Masters Main Event, an online Day 1 begins at 8:05 p.m. BST on September 2. The online flight lasts for 15 levels, each spanning 20 minutes. Anyone with chips in front of them at the end of the 15th level progresses to Day 2 live at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham.

Players can enter as many Day 1s as they wish. However, only their largest stack is carried through to Day 2 if they progress more than once; all other stacks are forfeited.

Golden Chip Promotion Could Land You a £1,100 WSOP Circuit Seat

DTD Golden Chips

Dusk Till Dawn is offering a £1,100 WSOP Circuit seat for any player who reached the £500,000 UKPC Master Main Event while in possession of a golden chip. Players who reach Day 2 via an online Day 1 at GGPoker or via a live Day 1 using DTD Bankroll will receive a golden chip. If they navigate to the final table, a £1,100 WSOP Circuit seat is all theirs.

DTD Bankroll is a new flexible currency you can use for Dusk Till Dawn tournaments. You win it online at GGPoker. The phased satellites start at one penny, eventually feeding into Tuesday's finals, where a 10x £560 DTD Bankroll are guaranteed.

You can start your journey from the £0.01 centrolls or jump into the £5.50 Phase 1 satellites. Make it through the £5.50 buy-in Phase 1s and carry your chips through to the weekly final, which runs every Tuesday. Anyone with £55 in their GGPoker account can buy into the final directly and battle it out for one of the 10x £560 DTD Bankroll that are guaranteed.

Once you have some DTD Bankroll in your GGPoker account, you can use it as part or full payment for any live event that DTD hosts. For example, you could spend the full £560 to enter the UKPC Masters Main Event, or split it and enter the £280 No-Limit Hold'em Warm-Up and £120 Pot-Limit Omaha and have £160 left to use at another time. The choice is yours.
