The Winamax Poker Open (WPO) is packing its bags and heading to France for the very first time. From September 16–21, the Casino Grand Cercle in Aix-les-Bains will host six days of poker, parties, and pure Winamax chaos at the foot of the Alps.
After years of building a home in Bratislava, where last year’s Main Event drew a record 1,516 entries and crowned Aliosha Staes for €90,000, the WPO is ready to see if French players (and the international crowd) can push those numbers even higher.
A €500 Main Event, 6-Max Style
The festival’s heartbeat is the €500 Main Event, running in the classic 6-max format that has become the WPO’s signature.
Four Day 1s kick off September 17, before the field comes together on Sunday to battle for the WPO trophy.
If you don’t go the distance in the Main, don’t sweat it. There’s plenty more firepower in the schedule:
€750 Battle Royale (Sept 17–18)
€1,000 High Roller (Sept 20–21)
€300 Monster Stack (Sept 20–21)
There are also KO events, sprints, mystery bounties, and satellites running all week.

Beer Pong, Darts & French Flavor
Poker is only half the story at a WPO stop. Things kick off with the traditional Beer Pong Open on Wednesday night before rolling into darts, quizzes, and plenty more off-the-felt fun.
Add in a Christmas market-style food village serving up local Alpine specialties, and you’ve got yourself a proper Winamax festival with poker, parties, and good vibes all rolled into one.
