Kathy Liebert Cracks Aces & Wins Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza Title

The third Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza of 2025 wrapped up at Venetian Las Vegas after 67 events across more than a month of action.
The 2025 Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza III, which ran Sept. 3-Oct. 5, featured buy-ins ranging from $200 to $5,400. There were 6,412 entrants across those events to generate $4,046,686 in prize money.
What's more, various guarantees resulted in the series overlaying by $86,770, giving participants some additional value.
Liebert, Sunshine & Orlando Among Winners
The Venetian DeepStack Extravaganza III drew plenty of recognizable names, including Event #5: $400 NLH Seniors winner Kathy Liebert, who bested a field of 85 runners to win $8,248. Despite being a queen of the felt and a member of the Women in Poker Hall of Fame, Liebert posed with a pair of red kings in her winner's photo.
Liebert was just heating up at the Venetian and cracked aces in a later event in a fitting manner as she flopped a set of queens.
Meanwhile, the title of the highest buy-in of the series went to Jeremy Ausmus as the American pro topped 62 runners in Event #29: $5,300 NLH PGT High Roller to win $99,200 as he defeated reigning GPI Player of the Year Stephen Song. The final table also included daily king Jeremy Becker (8th - $12,400) and poker coach Jonathan Little (9th - $9,300).
Another pair of Vegas grinders won Venetian titles. Brandon Sunshine bested a field of 296 players in Event #42: $400 NLH Ultimate Stack to win $19,777, while podcaster Jon Orlando, who is the son of Vegas headliner Tony Orlando, took down Event #60: $200 NLH Bounty to win $2,245.
Three More Titles For Tae
Three players walked away from the series with multiple titles, most notably Florida's Lucas Tae winning three events.
Tae had back-to-back victories in Event #10: $200 NLH Bounty and Event #11: $400 NLH Ultimate Stack for respective scores of $1,645 and $3,632 before taking down Event #44: $200 NLH Bounty later in the series for another $1,385.
Tae has been on a tear at the Venetian and won four events at the Venetian Showdown Series in August.
Another Floridian, Jordan Rodriguez, won two titles as he took down Event #25: $300 NLH Ultimate Stack for $6,149 and Event #40: $300 NLH Ultimate Stack for $5,937 toward the middle of the series.
Vegas local Sergei Saakian closed out the series with two late titles, first in Event #55: $300 NLH Ultimate Stack for $2,713 and later in Event #61: $200 NLH Bounty for $2,643
