Only two stops remain in Season 16 of the Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) starting with the MSPT Festival at Ameristar East Chicago, which will feature a dozen Gold Card events from November 18-23.
The $1,110 buy-in, $300K GTD Main Event will kick off with Day 1A at Noon local time on Thursday, November 20. Days 1B and 1C will then take place at the same time on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22 respectively. The surviving players from all three flights will then return at 11 a.m. on Sunday, November 23 to play down to a winner.
Other tournaments on the schedule include Event #1 $300 Epic Stack Kickoff NLH, Event #5: $300 Monster Stack Mixed PLO/NLH, and Event #10: $300 Seniors (50+) Monster Stack NLH.
Here’s a look at the full schedule:
The penultimate stop marks one of the last opportunities for players to amass coveted Player of the Year points. Umut Ozturk is going for an unprecedented three consecutive POY titles and is the favorite to do it with 9,392 points. However, both Jake Long (8,890 points) and Josh Reichard (7,036 points) are sure to give him a run for his money.
The season will then wrap with the Winter Poker Classic Series at Minnesota’s Running Aces Casino from Dec. 2-14. That stop features 18 Gold Card events, including a $1,110 buy-in, $500K GTD Main Event from Dec. 4-7. Click here for a look at the full schedule from that stop.
