PokerStars CEP Barcelona

The 20th Campeonato Espana de Poker (CEP) season is about to get underway at the Casino Barcelona. CEP Barcelona bursts into life on March 4 before concluding on March 15. This latest instalment of PokerStars CEP Barcelona features 10 events and several satellites, including a €500 buy-in Main Event that is expected to attract a four-figure crowd.

CEP is Spain's longest-running tournament series. To celebrate entering its 20th season, PokerStars is spicing things up by adding over €50,000 in extra prizes, including four Gold Power Path passes and six Silver passes.

Since its launch, the CEP has held 143 events across 20 cities, but it is traditionally Barcelona that kicks off a new campaign. The 2026 CEP Barcelona schedule includes a €500 buy-in Main Event, a €1,000 High Roller, a €250 Mini CEP Main Event, a €250 buy-in 6-Max tournament, and €440 Super Mystery Bounty affair.

CEP Barcelona

The CEP stopped in Barcelona twice in 2025: first in March and again in August. The March edition of the €500 CEP Barcelona Main Event attracted 1,192 entries, and Filip Fisz came out on top. Fisz banked €63,000 after a heads-up deal with Carlos Dominguez (€55,000).

Matias Arroyo triumphed in the August edition of the CEP Barcelona Main Event. A 2,182-strong field set a new attendance record. The bumper crowd also meant that Arroyo returned to Argentina with €86,875 for his victory. That princely sum would have been larger, but Arroyo struck a three-handed deal with Marc Casamacchi (€72,900) and Arnau Pradas (€60,225).

The top seven finishers in the 2026 CEP Barcelona Main Event will win additional prizes in addition to the cash they capture.

  • 1st – CEP 2027 sponsorship, commemorative watch, and two Gold Passes for EPT 2027
  • 2nd – CEP 2027 sponsorship, one Gold Pass and one Silver Pass for EPT 2027
  • 3rd – CEP 2027 sponsorship, and one Gold Pass for EPT 2027
  • 4th – CEP 2027 sponsorship, and two Silver Passes for EPT 2027
  • 5th-7th - CEP 2027 sponsorship, and one Silver Pass for EPT 2027

Online satellites are available on PokerStars' Spanish site, while live satellites are available throughout the festival at Casino Barcelona.
