Dan Bilzerian, who claims he's won upwards of $50 million playing high-stakes private poker games, is attempting to enter the political arena.

The social media influencer known for misogynistic and antisemitic comments has filed paperwork to campaign to overtake Florida Republican Randy Fine's seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Fine, a Jewish politician will attempt to retain the seat he won in a 2025 special election against a poker player who referred to him as a "fat Jew."

Bilzerian, a former GGPoker ambassador who has 30 million Instagram followers, filed Form FEC-1958444 with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on April 7. He's running as a Republican and has purchased a BilzerianForCongress.com website that hasn't yet launched.

Will Bilzerian Win?

Bilzerian has been critical of Fine over his religious beliefs. He's also been critical of President Donald Trump for the Iran war and having a pro-Israel stance in military conflict with Palestine.

The son of 1980s convicted white-collar criminal Paul Bilzerian recently claimed on X that the United States is "controlled by Jewish pedophiles." He's taken harsh stances against Fine, who supports military actions against Palestine and Iran.

Bilzerian's odds of defeating Fine, a pre-Trump Republican, aren't great. The congressman represents a district Trump won by 30 points in the 2024 election.

Bilzerian hasn't played poker much in the public space, although he did appear on an ESPN World Series of Poker (WSOP) broadcast and Hustler Casino Live. But he has frequented the biggest Hollywood private games, claiming wins of at least $50 million over the years. Many poker pros have disputed that claim, however. His wealth accumulation has long been in question among the poker community, which he once referred to as "f*****g nerds."
