After a long day of action at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel Casino & Spa, David Coleman came out on top in the $15,300 6-Max, defeating Italo Modena heads-up to claim the title and the $270,000 first-place prize. It also marked his second tournament victory of the year, and took his 2026 total live cashes over $2 million, according to The Hendon Mob.
The tournament was originally planned to take place across two days, but a change to the schedule saw it turned into a one-day event, leaving the players facing a long day at the tables as play continued into the early hours of the morning. A total of 62 entries created an $892,800 prize pool, with the top nine players making the money and $30,000 awaiting anyone who managed to get that far.
Modena collected $181,000 for his runner-up finish, adding another result to what has already been a strong series for the cash game grinder. The Italian has found plenty of success at the tournament tables this week, reaching the final table of the $10,400 Premiere, along with the final table of the $25,000 Main Event, which plays out on Friday. This time, though, Coleman was the player standing in his way, eventually getting the better of Modena to take the title.

Coleman Makes His Way to the Final Table
Coleman's first appearance came during the earlier levels against Farkas Benedek, where his king-ten paired a king on the turn to beat Benedek's pair of fives at showdown.
As the field was reduced, Coleman remained in contention and secured his place at the final table, where he soon picked up an important pot against Nicholas Seward. After calling a turn bet with king-queen, Coleman was faced with an all-in on the river and took his time before making the call. Seward could only show a bluff, giving Coleman the pot and helping him move forward at the final table.
Modena was next to get involved with Coleman. The pair built a sizable pot before Coleman fired again on a paired river, with Modena using three time banks before eventually folding.
Coleman and Modena Exchange Pots
Coleman and Modena continued to clash as the field became shorter, with Modena getting the better of their next big confrontation. After seeing a 4-3-2 flop, Coleman check-shoved with nine-six and was quickly called by Modena, who held pocket jacks. Coleman failed to improve, allowing Modena to secure the double-up and take from the eventual champion.
Coleman soon got some of those chips back. After betting a Q-8-6 flop with pocket eights, Coleman continued when another queen arrived on the turn before firing once more on the river. Modena went deep into the tank and used five time banks before making the call, only to see Coleman turn over a full house.
Coleman Closes Out the Tournament
With three players remaining, Aleksandr Kirichenko found himself all in against both Coleman and Modena. The action checked through until a ten landed on the river, pairing Coleman's ace-ten and prompting him to bet. Modena folded before Kirichenko showed ace-queen, leaving Coleman's pair of tens to take the pot and send Kirichenko out in third place for $128,000.
That left Coleman and Modena heads-up for the title, with the pair having already played several of the biggest pots at the final table. On the final hand, Coleman put Modena all in from the small blind and the Italian called with queen-nine, finding himself behind Coleman's king-six. Neither player connected through the first four cards of the board, before a king on the river paired Coleman to bring the tournament to an end.
