IPS Italian Poker Sport Summer Edition Returns to King's Resort with €1.5m GTD

Late-summer poker returns to King's Resort in Rozvadov with the IPS Italian Poker Sport Summer Edition, bringing two weeks of tournament action and a €1.5 million guaranteed Main Event to the Czech Republic.

Running from Tuesday, August 18 through Tuesday, September 1, the series features 59 tournaments across a packed schedule, with buy-ins starting from just €35 and rising to €380 for the headline IPS Main Event. Alongside the €1.5 million guaranteed centerpiece, players can expect a wide variety of formats and buy-in levels, including Mystery Bounties, Knockout events, PLO, Turbo tournaments, a Ladies Event and a €700 High Roller.

The Main Event itself offers plenty of opportunities to qualify, with multiple starting flights spread across the series and different formats designed to suit players looking for a slower-paced Day 1 or a quicker route into the tournament. There is also a Day 1 taking place at King's Prague, giving players another chance to secure a spot in the hunt for a share of the €1.5 million prize pool.

€1.5 Million Guaranteed Main Event Headlines

The headline attraction of the IPS Italian Poker Sport Summer Edition is, unsurprisingly, the €1.5 million guaranteed Main Event, which comes with a €380 buy-in and multiple starting flights to give players plenty of opportunities to make their way into the tournament.

The opening flights begin on Friday, August 21, with Day 1A Part 1 kicking off at 2:00 p.m., followed by Day 1B Part 1 on Saturday. Further starting flights continue throughout the following week, including Speed Day 1s, a Turbo flight and a Flip and Go Pineapple flight, giving players plenty of flexibility when choosing their route into the event.

The Main Event also extends beyond King's Resort in Rozvadov, with a dedicated Day 1 taking place at King's Prague on Friday, August 28. Players who make it through the various starting flights will eventually converge for Day 2 on Sunday, August 30, with the tournament continuing through Day 3 on Monday before the final day takes place on Tuesday, September 1.

With €1.5 million guaranteed to be paid out, the Main Event is set to be the focal point of the series and offers a major prize pool at an accessible buy-in.

Satellites Offer a Cheaper Route

Players looking to take part in the €1.5 million guaranteed Main Event without paying the full €380 buy-in can take advantage of an extensive satellite schedule throughout the series.

Main Event satellites begin on Tuesday, August 18, with a €50 tournament guaranteeing €3,800 in prizes. Further €50 satellites run regularly throughout the series, with opportunities available for several different starting flights right up until the final stages of the Main Event's opening days.

The schedule includes satellites targeting specific Day 1 flights as well as events offering players a choice of starting flight.

The satellite schedule is not limited to the Main Event, either. Players can also qualify for the €50,000 guaranteed IPS Summer Opener and €100,000 Mystery Bounty through €35 and €40 satellites respectively, providing lower-cost routes into some of the other major events on the schedule.
