What better way to celebrate the 23rd birthday of King's Resort Rozvadov than by turning an affordable €230 buy-in into the lion's share of a guaranteed €1 million?

The brainchild of Leon Tsoukernik, King's Resort first opened its doors on June 26, 2003. Since then, countless millions have been won by players in massive cash games and even bigger tournaments. One of the latter is taking place between June 22-29.

King's Million 23rd Birthday Celebration edition centers on a €230 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em event with a €1 million guaranteed prize pool. It's an ambitious guarantee, but there are plenty of flights for players to get their teeth into to help push the prize pool toward, and hopefully over, the guaranteed amount.

The nine traditional Day 1a all play until only 10% of the field remains, with payouts starting when 15% of the field remains, meaning everyone who progresses to Day 2 does so with at least a €460 min-cash to show for their efforts.

There is a tenth flight that takes place at King's Prague on June 26. Anyone navigating to Day 2 from this flight will head to Rozvadov to conclude the tournament.

On June 28, there's a fun way to try and progress to Day 2. It is a Flip 'n' Go Pineapple Day 1 where 10 players play one hand, with the winner advancing to Day 2 later that day. Such a format isn't for everyone, but it would make a cool story if one of those winners eventually goes all the way and becomes the King's Million Main Event champion.

King's Rozvadov hosted a similar tournament in March, and it was a roaring success. King's Million by Euro Rounders was a €250 buy-in event with €1 million guaranteed. It saw 5,596 entries processed, comprising 1,524 unique entrants purchasing 4,072 re-entries between them. The end result was a €1,175,160 prize pool and a €116,800 top prize.

Italy's Daniele Santaniello was the recipient of that six-figure payout after he defeated Romania's Patrick Cacaleceanu (€91,700) heads-up.

The action continues immediately after the King's Million event, with major tournaments coming thick and fast at King's Resorts. From June 29 until July 5, there's the €400,000 guaranteed Czech Poker Masters, followed by the €200,000 German Championship of Poker from July 6-12, then the massive €3 million guaranteed EPM Euro Poker Million from July 14-27.
