The World Poker Tour (WPT) is heading back to The Lodge Card Club in the Austin, Texas area next month for a $1 million guaranteed tournament.
That tournament is the $1,100 WPT Prime Lodge, a No-Limit Hold'em event that will bring out a massive field. The event isn't the only tournment on the schedule at The Lodge, a poker club co-owned by Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme. A full series schedule, which you can view below, includes numerous low to mid-stakes tournaments.
WPT Prime Lodge Details
The festival began Sept. 24 and will run through Oct. 12, which is the final day of the WPT Prime Lodge.
Flight 1a runs at 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 8, followed by a second and third opening flight the following two days at the same time. This is an unlimited re-entry tournament, which allows players to enter each of the three flights as many times as they'd like.
Day 2 runs on Oct. 11 at 12:15 p.m., with the final session the following day at 2:15 p.m. The Lodge Card Club, the largest poker club in Texas, will also host a $2,000 WPT Prime Lodge High Roller, a two-day event with $100,000 guaranteed from Oct. 11-12.
The Lodge Card Club, like all legal Texas poker rooms, operates using the social club model. As such, players entering the tournaments are required to purchase a club membership before signing up. There are daily super satellites into the WPT Prime Lodge tournament running inside the card room for $150 leading up to the event.
Last year's winner of the WPT Prime Lodge was 22-year-old Harvey Castro, who took it down for $225,020 after beating out 1,648 runners.
