Kerryjane Craigie: Inside the Sold-Out WPA UK Ladies Weekend at The Hippodrome
Table Of Contents
PokerStars Ambassador Kerryjane Craigie has spent the second half of 2026 balancing a demanding schedule away from the felt with building momentum for female players on it.
In this latest update, Craigie reflects on stepping back into the spotlight, previews the highly anticipated UK Ladies Weekend at The Hippodrome Casino, and shares a complete guide to the coaching sessions, live cash streams, and £20,000 GTD tournament heading to the Capital this October.
I’ve been a little quiet lately on the public front, whilst I have concentrated on my day job and home life, but I’m back with a doozy of a story for you.
I am super thrilled to be hosting the only UK Ladies Weekend as part of the Women’s Poker Association initiative, taking place 16th–18th October at my second home The Hippodrome Casino, London.
This three-day event is all about opportunity. Whether you’re completely new to poker or an experienced player looking to take your game to the next level.
And wow… what a line-up we have! I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who is taking part, sharing their knowledge and experience, and dedicating their time to making this weekend such a success.
UK Ladies Weekend Schedule
We kick things off on Friday, October 16 at The Hippodrome Casino with dedicated women’s cash games.
And for those who can’t be there in person, you can join us online with a live stream featuring commentary, guidance and plenty of poker chat via our YouTube channel.
Saturday is all about learning, improving, and sharing ideas, with a stellar cast of experts joining us for an afternoon of poker study.
| Session | Host |
|---|---|
| Thinking Sideways & Your Approach to Playing | Jennifer Shahade |
| Inside the Hand: Tournament Analysis & Decision Making | Marle Spragg |
| The Importance of Studying & Improving Your Game | Victoria Livschitz |
| Q&A | Maria Ho |
The sessions offer a variety of different learning opportunities. Jennifer will explore how we think about the game, challenging conventional approaches and looking at how a different perspective can influence the way we play.
Marle will take us inside real tournament hands, breaking down key decisions, thought processes and turning points. This will be an interactive session, exploring the questions we should be asking ourselves and how those small decisions can impact our overall tournament.
Victoria will look at the value of structured study and continuous improvement, and how developing your game away from the table can translate into better decisions when you’re playing.
And rounding off the afternoon, we’re delighted to have Maria Ho joining us for an exclusive Q&A — giving you the opportunity to put your questions directly to one of the game’s most accomplished players.
And because good poker conversation deserves good food, the afternoon will be followed by a four-course dinner in the private dining rooms, with a menu from the kitchens of award-winning Heliot Steak House.
We’ll eat, chat, share what we’ve learned and, no doubt, continue the poker conversations long into the evening.
Saturday's events are now SOLD OUT!
Ladies Only Tournament
And then we get to the culmination of the weekend. On Sunday, October 18, there's the women’s-only tournament at 12 p.m.
Featuring a £300 buy-in, players will receive a 20,000 starting stack with 25-minute levels. The tournament comes with a £20,000 guarantee and the winner walks away with, if I may say so myself, an incredibly beautiful trophy to be won!
I’ve also been running live qualifiers at the monthly Ladies Club (£35) and online at PokerStars (£33), giving players the chance to win their way into the event for incredible value. We have around 15 entries already heading to the tables – but don’t fret, we have plenty of space for on the day registration which is open from 11am.
And there are just two more chances to qualify:
- 14th October — The Hippodrome
- 1st October — Online
The online qualifier also carried the chance to win a 5 day package at the upcoming Malta Poker Festival where I’ll be hosting the Ladies First tournament on Friday 30th October.
This event and festival holds a special place in my calendar and if you haven’t experienced it yet, this year is THE time to do so with amazing hosts such as Michael Mizrachi.
Last Words
And finally, I honestly can’t put into words how proud I am of the support and interest we’ve had from the female poker community around this weekend.
There is something incredibly special about seeing women come together — whether they’re brand new to the game, regular players, professionals, recreational players, studying, competing, learning or simply coming along to be part of it.
I’m giddy with excitement about what this weekend can bring.
Here’s to the conversations, the learning, the laughter, the cards… and hopefully a few big wins along the way.
