Poker Player Lynne Ji Denies Charges Against Her in Alleged Domestic Dispute Stabbing
Poker player Lynne Ji was arrested Oct. 10 in Los Angeles and charged for her role in an alleged stabbing following an apparent domestic dispute.
Ji, who has appeared on poker shows such as Poker After Dark and Hustler Casino Live, is alleged to have stabbed Kevin "KGAO" Gao, her significant other who has also competed multiple times on HCL.
Images surfaced on X of Gao in a hospital bed following the alleged incident. He appeared to be in stable condition but with visible deep cuts on his arm.
Ji Claims Innocence
Ji was booked into a Los Angeles County Jail and was given a $1 million bond. She bonded out the following day on Oct. 11. Details of the alleged violent incident have not yet been made public. But Ji sent out a brief tweet addressing the accusations on Friday.
"I fully deny all charges and I look forward to clearing my name in court," Ji wrote.
Ji, a social media influencer, has competed in World Series of Poker (WSOP) events and other tournaments, but has mostly been a cash game player. She told PokerNews in a 2021 interview that she first competed at the WSOP in 2017 when she was underage.
She appeared in four episodes of High Stakes Poker during Season 8 in 2021, losing over $300,000 combined. But she did book a $165,000 win during a High Stakes Poker livestream in 2023. Her last Hustler Casino Live appearance came in April 2026, a session that coincidentally included C Ye, the player involved in a recent dispute with fellow HCL regular Britney Jing.
PokerNews has reached out to the LAPD but has yet to hear back. Ji denied a request for further comment.
