Umut Ozturk Vaults into MSPT Player of the Year Lead | MSPT Podcast Episode 3
The Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) has joined forces with PokerNews for a biweekly podcast. The MSPT Podcast Presented By PokerNews is hosted by Chad Holloway and 2021 MSPT Player of the Year Kyna England and will be available in both audio and video formats.
In the third episode, Chad and Kyna recap James Anderson winning the MSPT JACK Cleveland, which proved to be a record-setting stop. It's also where Umut Ozturk made the final table for a second weekend in a row to overtake the MSPT Season 16 Player of the Year points lead against Jake Long. Find out where things currently stand in the tight POY race.
The MSPT was also out west for the Sycuan 100 GRAND STACK, which saw Peter Brown take down the Main Event. There were also two dozen side events, one of which was won by Josh Reichard, and four of them were taken down by Michael Starek, who became the MSPT's first four-time gold card winner.
From there, it's a look ahead to upcoming stops in Las Vegas, Michigan, and Canada. Speaking of Sin City, Chad and Kyna will do the first in-person episode from inside the Venetian Poker Live studio ahead of the MSPT Nevada Poker State Championship.
