Sarah Herring and [Removed:139] are back at it for an action-packed Episode 524 of the PokerNews Podcast

Sarah is in London for an 888poker event, so it only makes perfect sense for her to chat with 888poker Ambassador Chris Moorman. The two sit down for a wide-ranging conversation.

The talk of the poker world revolves around this $100,000 pitch-black chamber prop bet. Jeff talks with Rory Young about how this bet came to be, and gets the latest update on how Rich Alati is currently doing.

A couple charity poker tournaments are taking place in Las Vegas this weekend. Matt Stout jumps on the show to discuss Charity Series of Poker Event #18: Knights of the Poker Table.

This week's sponsors: D&B Poker & The Poker Depot!

7:20Living in Las Vegas: "If you asked me 5-6 years ago if I'd ever live in Vegas, it'd be the last place on Earth I wanted to live."
8:30Missing online poker: "I don't think online is as good as it once was...The fact that I can't play every day online, when I do play online, it kinda makes it exciting again."
9:30The tournament scene evolving: "When I first started playing, everyone kinda did stuff just on the fly. You learned by playing."
10:50Balancing GTO: "When you play poker as long as me, you have to trust your intuition in a lot of spots."
11:40The UK poker community: "I still have a core of three or four people that I talk to, especially during a series, I'll be bouncing hands off them."
13:20Do any groups stand out? "I still see a lot of the people coming through being from Europe, there aren't that many Americans outside Ali (Imsirovic) and his crew."
15:30What's next for Chris? "No more (books) unless I win the Main Event. I'm actually thinking of doing some coaching next year."
17:30Why coaching? "It's always fun to challenge yourself doing different things. Like I never thought I would write a book, and then I ended up doing that...and after it was done, it was really rewarding."
18:30His family's reaction to his books

32:20All of the attention on this prop bet: "It's not that crazy, I think the prop bet itself is pretty crazy so I think it warrants interest."
32:50Young explains how this prop bet with Rich Alati came to be
34:50Being thrilled with even odds on his side: "Regardless of whether he wins the bet or not, I'm thrilled to have had this bet. I think I would've booked this between 3-1 and 5-1, and would've been happy with those odds."
35:50The impact this kind of isolation can have: "Your mind is constantly wanting to be stimulated, and when you have nothing to focus on apart from your own thoughts, your mind starts to create stimulus...I believe the US military uses extended periods of social isolation to break people."
38:30How Young is keeping track of this bet: "I've set up five infra-red cameras, and I can get that on my phone...it's not a typical live-stream, and that's why we haven't been able to broadcast it live."
39:30How Alati is doing so far: "I think he's 13 days in...he's mostly sleeping...honestly, he seems about the same. I think I underestimated his mental stability and his strength...He's doing very well, infinitely better than I expected."
40:50What the live odds would be of this prop bet: "I'd say he's a favorite, honestly. I thought he was an overwhelming underdog heading in, but seeing what I've seen, he's doing fine. I think he's a favorite to complete the challenge."
