Johnny Oshana is an American poker player from California who is best known for winning the $300 Gladiators of Poker event at the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. Oshana collected a career-best $250,000 for his victory, plus his first WSOP bracelet.
Oshana entered the final day second in chips, but lost a huge pot with pocket fives against pocket kings, which left him short-stacked. Instead of sulking, Oshana used his lowly position to motivate himself to continue grinding.
"After that, I put it in my head, 'I'm going to win this, I was determined to get the bracelet. I had patience and waited for the right time. I actually play better with a short stack, and that motivated me to win."
