Michael Phelps is an American swimmer from Baltimore, Maryland that is the most decorated Olympic athlete of all time. Phelps won a total of 28 medals over his Olympic career, 23 of which were gold.
Phelps is an avid golfer and poker player who plays in a regular home game. Phelps participated in the 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, where he ran to Day 2 before being knocked out by Eddy Sabat.
In late 2023, Phelps will participate in the Global Poker Celebrity Challenge, which will offer prizes and donations to charities, gives poker players a chance to take on four celebrities: Phelps, NBA superstars George and Karl-Anthony Towns, and legendary producer DJ Khaled.
There will be four celebrity heads-up campaigns where each celebrity plays against the other, as well as four Celebrity Campaign Finals where Global Poker players can compete against the stars.
