Spicer Spiked as Scott Scoops

Level 5 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

With just two players in the hand from pre-flop, we joined the action to find Kara Scott betting 2,700 from middle position into a pot of 6,800 on a flop of {6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. That was raised to 6,700 by Carl Spicer in the small blind, but Scott didn't mind paying the extra 4,000 chips for the check-raise.

On the turn {8-Hearts} , Spicer bet 12,200. Scott moved all-in and Spicer called her stack off, putting the ESPN presenter and former Irish Open runner-up at risk.

Carl Spicer: {7-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Kara Scott: [ JdQc]

Straight over straight, and after the river {9-Hearts}, Scott had doubled up to 133,400. Spicer, on the other hand, saw his stack decimated to just eight big blinds at 13,700.
