Suhail Stacking

Mohammed Suhail has been one of the most active players at the start of Day 1a, having called a three-bet in position pre-flop. The flop of {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{K-Spades} saw him call a c-bet before the turn card of {A-Hearts} prompted a check-raise to 1650 from the qualified doctor, often referred to as 'Dr Ash'.

Suhail's move certainly left his opponent gasping for air in poker terms, and it got a fold from his opponent. Suhail, always one of the most vocal players in the room, has the chip-stack to match his personality - bigger than most.

"I had A-7 off." he tells his table-mates.

Champions in the Room

We have two former winners in the room and neither could be more different from the other. Terry Jordon won the first ever 888Live tournament when it was held right here in the 888 Live Poker Room at Aspers Casino.

He's joined in the field by Irina Nikolaidi, whose maiden tournament victory took place in Aspers 15 months ago when she banked $39,253 for outlasting 666 others. Both definitely have a devilish determination to end up on top of the pile at the end of the weekend in this £100,000 Guaranteed tournament that kicks off 888Poker's London Live Festival.

Players in their Seats

Players are now in their seats and action is under way. Among the hopefuls looking to become the first players through to Day 2 are: Arron Fletcher, Ali Zinhi, Angelo Milioto, John Game, Mario Andreas, Vinny Anderson, Mohammed Suhail and Marius Zalpys.

Late Registration and Starting Stack

With play due to start here at Aspers Casinon in Stratford at 6pm sharp, players need not fear if they're nose-to-armpit on the London Underground. There are six levels of late registration and players begin with a 25,000 starting stack.

Poker is such a beautiful game; you can just buy-in to an event and face off against some of your idols.

Playing soccer with Messi or shooting hoops with Kevin Durant are out of the realm of possibilities for just about anyone, but playing poker with the world's greatest players is still a very real option.

Most of the time, you still have to save some time before you can square off with the big names in one of the bigger Main Events, but if you idolize Antonio Esfandiari and Michael Mizrachi, you're in luck.

Both of them are attending the 888live London Poker Festival next week they announced via Twitter.
