James Phillips was down to just three big blinds on the bubble and managed to survive to cash for £1,600 thanks to the heroic battle between Andrew Hulme and Michael Mizrachi which ended in Hulme's bust-out.
Phillips may have survived to the money (no mean feat after qualifying online) but he couldn't last much longer. His all-in with pocket jacks was called by two players, who checked down on a board of 
. Unfortunately for Phillips, both his opponents held a queen and in poker terms, he was kicked to death.
"Poker always has a sting in it's tail, doesn't it?" Phillips remarked after the hand.
