It's been a busy day here at Aspers Stratford on Day 1a of the £440 888Live London Easter Edition Main Event. The £100k guarantee attracted 90 entries. At the end of ten levels there were 22 players who will return on Sunday to battle it out on Day 2.
Before then we have three further flights including a special turbo flight 1d, where the level times are cut in half. More players will be looking to take part in this event and to grab a slice of its huge guarantee.
Leading the 22 is Hoa Quan with 256,200. He had a fierce battle on his table, with many players coming and going especially in the final level of the day, but managed to hold onto the chip lead.
Close behind him is 888Poker Ambassador Sofia Lovgren who looked to have all but secured the overnight chip lead, before she "bluffed it off on the last hand" according to her. She bagged up a respectable 250,600 but could have bagged up more.
She ngaged in a running battle with Ertan Sumer which culminated in his elimination, where both her straight and flush draws overwhelmed her opponent's top pair in a pot in the last level of the day.
Other big stacks include Robert Lim (220,600), Rana [Removed:321] Adnan (207,500) and Mark Shelley (190,900).
Stay tuned to PokerNews tomorrow from 18.00 for live coverage of Flight 1b live from Aspers Stratford.
