Dogra Dogra Eliminated

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

Joining the action on the {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} turn, Harcharan Dogra Dogra checked and called a bet worth 4,500 before checking again the {8-Diamonds} on the river. His sole remaining opponent Antonio Perez Alonso bet 11,000 and that had Dogra Dogra covered. He eventually called all in and sent his cards into the muck after Perez Alonso showed {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a straight.

Dogra Dogra will have to re-enter if he wants to rack up another deep run, having finished 7th in the EPT13 Barcelona Main Event last year at this very venue.

Bellini Back in

Level 4 : 200/400, 75 ante

The second attempt of Giovanni Bellini seems to work much better, as the Italian sat back down over on table three and almost doubled his stack. In one of the latest hands, he raised to 900 and the big blind, sporting a shirt with the name Elder, called.

On the {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, the big blind checked and then folded to a bet worth 1,200 by Bellini.

Leoni Busts Bellini

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Joining the action on the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} turn, Giovanni Bellini got his remaining 3,500 in with the {10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and fellow Italian and table neighbor Matteo Leoni looked him up with the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Both players had trips, and the {7-Clubs} on the river ensured that the kicker would play. "Where can I re-enter?" Bellini asked the dealer and headed to the casher. In the first 11 levels, all participants can re-enter twice to take a shot at the guaranteed prize pool of €100,000.

News on Non-Spanish Players

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

The vast majority of the field is from Spain, but a few Italians, Germans and Swedes made it to Casino Barcelona as well. David Kipfer is one of them and the dealer on his table just announced a seat open, and it was indeed Kipfer who left empty-handed. His chips now belong to Giovanni Cauteruccio, while Kipfer told Silvano Hauser about his fate before leaving the tournament area.

Jonas Abrahamsson is also in and sits on the same table as Matteo Leoni.

Leoni Loses Some

Level 3 : 150/300, 50 ante

Matteo Leoni had started well, but just dropped some chips in a bigger pot against Joan Balana Garcia-Vela in the small blind. Bets of 1,600 preflop and 2,100 on the {J-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Spades} flop were already pulled in. Balana Garcia-Vela then checked the {A-Spades} turn and Leoni bet 4,100, which his opponent called.

After the {9-Diamonds} river, both players checked, as Leoni did so reluctantly. Balana Garcia-Vela turned over {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for a pair of kings and Leoni shook his head, then mucked.

Chipongian Flushes Opponent

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

In a battle of the blinds, the pot had grown to 4,500 and Roger Barout Serra bet 1,400. His table neighbor Jon Ignacio Chipongian raised it up to 4,100 and Barout Serra called. Ignacio Chipongian turned over {Q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a flush and Barout Serra tapped the table in defeat.

Table 17 Opens

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

The field is up to 122 entries and table 17 just opened to accommodate the growing field. Among those to join as of lately was also Joachim Lob, and the poker pro and globetrotter from Switzerland sat down over on table 16 with a fresh stack in level two.

Aces No Good

Level 2 : 100/200, 25 ante

With the board showing {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}, Renato Garcia Majuelo checked out of the small blind and there were some 19,000 already in the middle. His sole remaining opponent, Jaime Victor Soler Puig, bet 6,675, and Garcia Majuelo eventually called. He was shown {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flush and mucked {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} for a set of aces.
