Lynford Pinnock Eliminated

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Lynford Pinnock was all in and at risk of elimination holding {8-Spades}{8-Hearts} and it was a race against his opponent who called him with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}.

"Keep it low," Pinnock asked the dealer.

The board ran out {j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

The cards were mostly low but too many spades for Pinnock's liking and he was busted.

888Live Brings Shot Clock to London Festival

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

For the first time in 888Live tournaments Aspers will see the introduction of the Shot Clock.

Once the dealer has dealt the last card in a hand they operate the timer with a pedal and the 'Shot Clock' begins and each player will be given a certain amount of time to act.

If a player is facing a bet or raise, the timer will begin only after their chips are counted and the number of chips required to call are stated. Players will also be allotted a certain number of time extensions, each of which will add an extra thirty seconds to the timer in the event that they need more time to reach a decision.

You can read more about the Shot Clock which will be used in both the High Roller and the Main Event later in the Festival.
