. Three players checked and the player in the hijack bet 1,000. The button folded and the small blind called. The big blind then folded and action was on the player who initially limped.
He reached for a stack of blue 1,000 chips and moved his hand forward, dropping a chip onto the felt in front of him. However, this was soon followed by another one. The dealer immediately announced raise. The player removed his sunglasses and spoke with the dealer before accepting the ruling.
The action was now on the player in the hijack who immediately re-raised to 8,000. Such was the speed with which he re-raised, the player in the small blind had his blue 1,000 chip ready to throw into the middle. He laughed as he avoided a potentially costly misstep as he folded his hand. The player who made the error eventually folded.
The three players involved then proceeded to engage in rapid-fire Czech and German both with one another and the dealer. The reporter only understood approximately 60% of this, but judging from the atmosphere as the next hand was dealt, they all seemed to understand and respect the situation.
