Big Double for Racolta; Saliba Thriving

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Andrei Racolta
Andrei Racolta

In a battle cutoff versus small blind, Andrei Racolta check-raised all in for 91,000 on the river of a completed board of {K-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Ivan Stankov, who had bet a hefty 50,000, called it off.

Racolta rolled over {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades} for aces and fives, and Stankov mucked his cards. As per all in showdown, his {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} were revealed.

Vivian Saliba also enjoyed an excellent start into Day 2 and almost doubled her stack, while Petre Laurentiu Chiriac dropped some on her table.

Death By Quads

Level 12 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Boaz Kolenbrener
Boaz Kolenbrener

It was a big flip over on table three that decided over the fate of Boaz Kolenbrener and he was barely covered by Andrei Alecu when the cards were turned over.

Boaz Kolenbrener: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Andrei Alecu: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop was kind of an overkill as Alecu made quads and left Kolenbrener drawing dead, while the dealer fanned the meaningless {6-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river.

Ran Shahar
Ran Shahar

Cornel Petrescu shoved for around 45,000 and Ran Shahar reshoved from two seats over for 105,000. Catalin Pop snap-called in the small blind and put two players at risk.

Cornel Petrescu: {A-Spades}{9-Spades}
Ran Shahar: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Catalin Pop: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and Shahar jumped out in excitement, kissing table neighbor Solomon Stan. "Ace on the river, that's karma" he added.

Papazian Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 13 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Radu Pitic and Alexandru Papazian
Radu Pitic and Alexandru Papazian

First to act Luca Moschitta moved all in for around 60,000 and was called by Radu Pitic from one seat over. Alexandru Papazian reshoved to isolate, but Pitic was not in the mood of folding and called to put two players at risk.

Luca Moschitta: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Alexandru Papazian: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Radu Pitic: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop improved Pitic to top set, while Moschitta regained the lead thanks to the {J-Spades} turn. Papazian could get there with a queen, but the {A-Spades} on the river was too little, too late, for the first ever Romanian bracelet winner. Once again the bad beat vodka was brought to the table and Pitic shared his shot with Papazian before the latter departed in style.

Check out the interview Papazian did with Sarah Herring yesterday about his site UnderTheGun.ro.

Stan and Stankov Missing

Level 14 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ivan Stankov
Ivan Stankov

Catalin Pop sits on a stack of half a million and was kind enough to provide the details of his recent boost, which saw Solomon Stan head to the rail. Pop defended his big blind against a raise to 10,000 by Stan and checked the {Q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Stan checked behind.

On the {6-Clubs} turn, Pop bet 28,000 and Stan called before the {Q-Diamonds} river brought another bet of 38,000 by Pop. Stan shoved for 140,000 with {A-Clubs}{8-} and Pop called with the {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for trips queens. to eliminmate Stan.

Ivan Stankov, who started the day second in chips, is also no longer in contention and busted before the money. The roller coaster ride of the Bulgarian ended after a clash with Andrei Alecu, who also jumped up to half a million in chips.

Natalie Hof
Natalie Hof

The ride of 888poker ambassador Natalie Hof has come to an end before the money after she lost a flip with ace-king against the pocket tens of Gusti Adrian Sas.

Cristian Anton shipped his stack of 230,000 over to Radu Pitic and another one story of "the rich get richer" took place over on table three. Adrian Petrus was all in for 92,500 with the {8-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Andrei Alecu looked him up with the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}.

The board ran out {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades}{A-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Marian Strachinescu mentioned in table chat that he folded ace-jack suited.

Level 16 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Dan Murariu
Dan Murariu

Dan Murariu got his remaining 18 big blinds in with the ace-seven and Philip Poppinghaus looked him up with {Q-}{J-} as per Tudor Purce. Poppinghaus got there and Murariu was eliminated. He was soon joined by Alexandru Sautner and Cristian Tardea.

Tardea was left very short after losing with {J-Diamonds}{j-Spades} against the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} of 888poker qualifier Sinisa Radovanovic as the board came {K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and he busted shortly after.
