Day 2 Started
Welcome to the penultimate day of the 888poker LIVE Barcelona €1,100 Main Event at Casino Barcelona.
While the weather is a bit rainy today, the 196 players that qualified into Day 2 don't mind as they have a huge six-figure prize in mind to compete for today.
Yesterday, the €500,000 guarantee was smashed by more than 40 percent with the total field size growing to 704 entrants. The field will grow a little bit more with late registration allowed until the first cards are in the air at 2 p.m.
Turkish high roller and Day 1b chip leader Orpen Kisacikoglu currently has an edge on the field after bagging 381,900 in chips. Not too far back are Day 1a chip leader Gianny Dominque Morano and Day 1b qualifier Gianny Dominique Morano.

Players will also have more time with blind levels increasing every hour throughout the day. This represents a 33 percent increase from the 45-minute blind levels featured during each of the three opening flights.
The action will begin at Level 13 with blinds at 1,500/3,000 with an ante of 400. A maximum of 10 blind levels will be played. However, play may end earlier as the tournament director has the discretion to stop play after the action is down to two or three tables.
The total prize pool and payouts will be released early in the day after the total field size is determined.
In addition to the Main Event, two side events will kick off today. The €333 Whale €40,000 GTD starts at 3 p.m. and the €220 Ladies Event €2,000 GTD starts at 7 p.m.

It's strike three for Parker Talbot and he is one of the first players eliminated on Day 2.
He fired three bullets yesterday with his third one coming near the end of the day. He was able to double up and come into today with 24 big blinds.
Talbot shared with PokerNews that he got it all-in with on a board. His top two pair weren't looking that good when his opponent called with for a straight.
Unfortunately for Talbot, he was unable to hit any of his outs to improve his hand to a full house. We will likely still see Talbot but on the sidelines in the commentary booth during the next two days.

It was Tarlev's turn to use his time bank. After it winding down to single digits he folded.
Dogra Dogra smiled and first showed his opponent he had for top two pair before he turned over his hand for the rest of the table to see.
