Lawless Takes From Lee

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hak-Hyun Lee raised to 200,000 first to act with {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Derek Lawless defended the big blind with the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. Both players checked the {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop and improved to a flush on the {9-Hearts} turn. Again the action went check, check, and Lawless bet 250,000 on the {6-Diamonds} river.

Lee called and saw the bad news to drop down to 20 big blinds.

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Antoine Labat raised to 175,000 with the {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Craig Sweden in the big blind folded the {5-Clubs}{4-Spades} with very few big blinds behind.

Labat then raised to 225,000 with {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Sweden shoved for 270,000 in the small blind with the {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

The board came {A-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} and Sweden received a miracle double with running spades to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Another Premium Pocket Pair for Lawless

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Derek Lawless picked up pocket queens right after the break and claimed the blinds and antes.

Then, Christos Xanthopoulos raised to 175,000 with {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} and Lawless three-bet to 375,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Xanthopoulos called and the flop brought {Q-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}, on which the Greek checked. Lawless bet 525,000 and Xanthopoulos called to see the {A-Spades} turn, giving Lawless top set.

Both players checked and the {8-Diamonds} on the river triggered another check by Xanthopoulos. Lawless moved all in and Xanthopoulos asked for a count. The Greek used two time banks and sent his cards into the muck.

Souki called and the {5-Diamonds} turn paired the board.

Kanji checked and Souki made it 405,000 to go, which was eventually called by Kanji.

Labat Continues With Aggression

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Antoine Labat raised to 100,000 with the {10-Spades}{9-Spades} and raked in the blinds and big blind ante.

Philippe Souki then raised to 115,000 with {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} in the cutoff and claimed the pot without resistance.

Labat made it 150,000 to go with the {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Derek Lawless defended his big blind with the {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. Labat flopped best on {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Lawless checked, Labat bet and that ended the hand right there.

Labat Jams Into Lawless

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Derek Lawless raised to 135,000 on the button with the {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Aleem Kanji in the big blind three-bet to 405,000 with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}. Lawless used a time bank and then slid in a four-bet to 1.2 million. Kanji gave it some thought and folded.

Lawless then picked up the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} and raised it up to 115, Antoine Labat three-bet to 350,000 with {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} on the button. Lawless called and the flop came {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{2-Hearts}, which prompted a bet of 360,000 by Lawless despite the two overcards. Labat opted to call and the {10-Hearts} followed on the turn.

Lawless let his 30 seconds to act run down and checked, and Labat quickly grabbed into his chip stack to see how much he had left. Labat then bet 360,000 with 1.1 million behind and Lawless counted his T-100,000 chips, double-checked his cards and called to create a massive pot of 2.3 million.

After the {5-Diamonds} river, Lawless checked and Labat moved all in for half the pot. Lawless folded.
