Lee Scores a Double Knockout

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Tamer Kamel
Tamer Kamel

Matin Jouzdani had shoved for 64,000 and tamer Kamel was all in for another 60,000 on top, but Hak-Hyun Lee had them both easily covered as the far biggest stack on the table.

Jouzdani showed {10-Spades}{6-Spades}, Kamel had the {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and the Lee had the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} on a flop of {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Sure enough, Lee spiked the {A-Diamonds} turn and the {A-Spades} river was a blank to send the Swede to the top of the leader board.

Geilich Busts After Clash with Peters

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Ludovic Geilich raised first to act and was called three ways including David Peters on the button. The {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} flop was checked to Peters and his bet was called only by Geilich. The Scotsman check-shoved the {5-Hearts} turn and Peters snap-called, having bet 20,000.

David Peters: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Ludovic Geilich: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The {K-Diamonds} on the river improved Peters to a full house and he left Geilich with crumbs, he was then all in out of the big blind and lost with {K-Spades}{9-Spades} versus {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} on a board of {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Chris Da-Silva can no longer be found on table one and Tuomo Niskanen also vanished after clashing in a big pot with Derek Lawless.

The flop showed {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and a bet of 60,000 was already in front of Lawless, then Niskanen shoved for 191,000 to receive a call from Lawless.

Tuomo Niskanen: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Derek Lawless: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Neither the {7-Hearts} turn nor the {A-Clubs} river were of any help and Niskanen was eliminated.

First Break on Day 2

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After two levels of play, the remaining 210 hopefuls have been cut down to just 131 and they were sent into the first 20-minute break. The T-500 chips will be raced off during that time.

In the last hand before the break, John Cynn clashed with Raphael Ajayi and they built a pot of 90,000 to the {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{Q-Spades} river. Ajayi checked in middle position and Cynn jammed from the button for 63,000. Ajayi asked for a count, used one time bank and folded.

Mcculloch Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

George Hassabis raised and Neil Mcculloch moved all in from the cutoff, as did Romain Lewis on the button with one big blind more. Hassabis snap-called and had the best of it before the flop as biggest stack of the trio.

Neil Mcculloch: {5-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Romain Lewis: {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
George Hassabis: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

The {Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop was a big one for Lewis, providing plenty of outs. The {4-Hearts} turn bricked, but the {9-Clubs} river improved Lewis.

Gardner Loses a Flip

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Anthony Gardner and Mark Gardner are both no longer in contention and defending champion Tom Hall has also been elimination.

Anthony lost the majority of his stack with {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} against the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} of James Brennan after finding no help on the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts} board, he bowed out shortly after.

Mark got it in with {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} against the {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} of Scott Adams and the board of {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts} gave Adams trips queens.
