Lovgren Short After Three-Way All In

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Sofia Lovgren
Sofia Lovgren

Sofia Lovgren opened first to act Jean-Paul Adolle three-bet, which resulted in calls by Santiago Giraldez on the button and Marvin Hannemann in the small blind. Jean-Pasquale Zuccarelli pushed for 14,100 in the big blind and Lovgren moved all in as well, as did Adolle. Rueda folded and Hannemann did so after some consideration.

Jean-Pasquale Zuccarelli: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Jean-Paul Adolle: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Sofia Lovgren: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Hannemann showed plenty of frustration, as he would have gotten there for a triple knockout.

Menhardt Busts One

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

While the former big stacks have mostly lost their chips and no longer remain at the top of the leader board, several players jumped in or re-entered to avoid the participation on Day 1b and 1c. Among them were Kevin Stani (re-entry) and Julian Menhardt (new entry).

Menhardt open-jammed in a short stack blind-on-blind and had a flip with {k-Clubs}{5-Spades} versus pocket treys. The board came {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Menhardt added a few chips to his stack.

One for Camarda

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Salvatore Camarda took the seat that previously belonged to Milad Oghabian and defended his big blind against an under-the-gun raise and a cold-call from big stack Tal Mor. On the {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Camarda checked and called a bet of 2,000 and a call by Mor.

The {6-Hearts} turn was checked and Camarda bet the {6-Spades} river for 3,200. Once the initial raiser folded, Mor reluctantly called and mucked when Camarda tabled {j-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for sixes and fives.

Jacobson In Contention; Rodil Forces a Big Fold

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Ali Polat is no longer to be found in the tournament area and Martin Jacobson has joined his former table with a double stack.

Jose Carlos Sineiro Rodil has about as many chips as Jacobson and just forced an opponent to fold {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} face up when jamming the {k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} turn. Rodil returned the favor and showed his {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for a flush.

Podovei Cut Down; Oghabian No More

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante
Milad Oghabian
Milad Oghabian

The cards were all but rushed away and Gabriel Podovei sigh-called a bet of 10,000 on the river when an ace appeared. Podovei showed queens and his opponent had {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, having flopped a nine and rivered the superior full house.

For Milad Oghabian it has come even worse as the Dutchman vanished in the corner section of the tournament area.

Camarda Eliminated by Di Profio

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

On a flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Salvatore Camarda ended up all in and at risk and fellow countryman Francesco Di Profio made the call.

Ali Polat said "I folded ace four of clubs" and Camarda had already turned over his {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}.

Di Profio was ahead with {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs} and the {a-Spades} turn and {10-Diamonds} river brought no help for Camarda.

"What a machine," another player at the table said in Spanish, as Di Profio further added to his growing tower of chips.

Moorman Joins; van Boxtel Under Pressure

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Chris Moorman won't be winning the €2,200 High Roller as the 888poker ambassador just walked into the area of the Main Event and entered the competition on Day 1a.

Raul van Boxtel's decent early start was also cut down and the Dutchman just check-raised a {9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop to 2,300 with very few chips behind. His opponent folded and asked if he had a nine. Van Boxtel grabbed his cards again and tabled the {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

Hu Busts Cazali

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
David Hu
David Hu

A raise to 1,200 was called by Robert Cazali and David Hu then squeezed to 4,000, which both opponents called. The {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop was checked and Cazali jammed the last 5,000 on the {4-Spades} turn, which only Hu called.

Cazali shrugged and wanted to muck his cards, as Hu had turned over {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} for kings full. As per all in showdown rule, he had to reveal his {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and was already on his way out while the meaningless {a-Spades} rolled off on the river.
