Luca Rosa Eliminated in 21st Place (€4,000)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Luca Rosa
Luca Rosa

Another short stack saw his grind come to an end, as Luca Rosa ended up all in and at risk against David Hu for his last 277,000.

Rosa turned oveer the {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Hu had that dominated with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}. Neither player hit anything on the {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} board and ace-high was good enough for Hu. Rosa has to settle for a payday of €4,000 and all remaining 20 players have now locked up at least €4,700.

Kully Sidhu Eliminated in 22nd Place (€4,000)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Kully Sidhu
Kully Sidhu

The action started with a raise by Kully Sidhu and ferran Corominas three-bet the button to 140,000. Sidhu piled his 550,000 in and Corominas almost beat him into the pot.

Kully Sidhu: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Ferran Corominas: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The {k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop gave Sidhu some outs, but the {2-Spades} turn and {3-Diamonds} river failed to improve the Brit and he joined the rail in 22nd place for €4,000.

Luca Marchetti Eliminated in 23rd Place (€4,000)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Luca Marchetti
Luca Marchetti

Kristian Larsson had moved all in three times in quick succession and got them all through including a three-bet jam against Kully Sidhu. Larsson then raised the button and Luca Marchetti defended the big blind.

They got the stacks in after the {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and Marchetti was the player at risk.

Luca Marchetti: {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Kristian Larsson: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

The {6-Diamonds} turn also gave Marchetti a flush draw, but the kicker played on the blank {9-Hearts} river to reduce the field once more. Marchetti takes home €4,000 for his efforts.

Benjamin Barkay Eliminated in 24th Place (€4,000)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Benjamin Barkay
Benjamin Barkay

One year ago, Benjamin Barkay finished in 16th place in this very event and had to grind a short stack for the past few hours. Eventually he jammed for under four big blinds and was called by Fernando Pons in the big blind-

Benjamin Barkay: {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Fernando Pons: {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The board brought {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Pons hit a four to send Barkay to the rail in 24th place for €4,000.

Salamon More Than Doubles

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

On a three-way flop of {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Zhong Chen bet 61,000 and Laszlo-Istvan Salamon pushed all in. Hu moved all in over the top and Chen sigh-folded.

Laszlo-Istvan Salamon: {2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
David Hu: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The {a-Hearts} turn and {8-Spades} river were no threat for Salamon and he more than doubled.

Johansson Still In It

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Mikael Johansson may have to rebook his flight, as the Swedish online qualifier is scheduled to head out in the early morning hours. Johansson is still in contention with 24 remaining and three-bet shoved for 423,000 over an open-raise by Ricardo Pinto. The latter folded and Johansson dragged in the pot.

Down to the Last 24

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Maurizio Pili
Maurizio Pili

Maurizio Pili clashed with fellow countryman Gabriele Rossi and jammed the river of a board {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} only for Rossi to call and table {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Pili had the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for ace-high and a busted flush draw and received an apology in his native language.

"I had the flushdraw," Pili said on his way out.

Soon after, Ludovic Sultan was eliminated one table over and that reduced the field to the last three tables. All remaining 24 hopefuls will now be balanced.

Lazzaretto Bows Out With Queens

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Matteo Lazzaretto
Matteo Lazzaretto

Matteo Lazzaretto had been all in out of the small blind and was called by Henrik Ahlstroem in the big blind and initial raiser Jai Saha. The two remaining active players checked the {10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} turn and Ahlstroem then bet the {9-Clubs} river for 60,000. Saha folded and Ahlstroem rolled over {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Lazzaretto peeled his cards once more and silently rolled over {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} to hit the rail in 27th place.
