Raoul Iancovici Eliminated in 11th Place (€5,900)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Raoul Iancovici

Almost at the same time as Jose Manuel Planells Castillo, Raoul Iancovici ended up all in from the button for around 700,000 on the other table and Darius Neagoe quickly called in the big blind.

Raoul Iancovici: {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Darius Neagoe: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Hearts} board ended Iancovici's run, and since he had used a time bank before making his decision, the showdown ended later to see Iancovici out in 11th place for €5,900.

Shahar and Gheonu Double

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Ran Shahar pushed from the small blind for 530,000 and Mihai Gheonu called in the big blind for almost half of his stack.

Ran Shahar: {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Mihai Gheonu: {k-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

Gheonu flopped best on {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}, but the {j-Diamonds} turn and {7-Hearts} river run out gave Shahar the superior two pair.

Right after, Gheonu got his last chips in with the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and flipped against Aldo Monteleone with {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The board came {q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs} and Gheonu doubled right back.

Suciu and Gheonu Double

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Within quick succession, another two all in showdowns took place on different tables.

Helder Ferreira open-jammed the small blind and Nicolae Suciu snap-called from the big blind for 745,000.

Nicolae Suciu: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Helder Ferreira: {k-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The board came {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and Suciu doubled, leaving Ferreira short once more.

Over on the other table, Mihai Gheonu defended his big blind against the raise of Darius Neagoe in under the gun and the stacks went in after the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades} turn. Gheonu already had the check mark with {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for the flopped straight, and Neagoe took a big hit with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. A meaningless {2-Spades} came on the river and Gheonu doubled for 895,000.

Cristian Matei

Cristian Matei moved all in for 575,000 in the small blind and Bogdan Nicolae in the big blind asked for a count, reluctantly called without using a time bank.

Cristian Matei: {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Bogdan Nicolae: {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

The minor kicker advantage played a crucial role as the board came {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Spades} to eliminate Matei in 10th place for €5,900. All remaining nine players will now be on a short break to set up the unofficial nine-handed final table.

A Double for Ferreira

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Ran Shahar won the first hand of the nine-handed table against Mihai Gheonu when betting the {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop for 325,000 and forcing a fold.

Darius Neagoe pushed for eight big blinds after the start of the new level and found no caller. Then, Helder Ferreira jammed for 470,000 and Zhiping Zeng made the call.

Helder Ferreira: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Zhiping Zeng: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The board came {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Ferreira doubled to 10 big blinds.

Aldo Monteleone limped the hijack and Ran Shahar pushed from one seat over. All opponents folded and Shahar flashed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

Aldo Monteleone limped in first to act and Mihai Gheonu raised to 375,000. Monteleone jammed for around 1.3 million and Gheonu folded.

Soon after, it was Gheonu that jammed from early position and Nicolae Suciu in the big blind asked for a count. The all in was for 1,325,000 and Suciu folded.
