Demosthenous Busts With a Bad Beat

Level 16 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Demos Demosthenous
Demos Demosthenous

After having survived several all in showdowns with the inferior hand, the tournament ended with a bad beat story to tell for Demos Demosthenous, as this time he had a premium hand that didn't hold up. Demosthenous had been all in with {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Laurence Ryan looked him up with the {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.

The board came {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Ryan spiked a queen on the turn to deal the final blow.

Demosthenous Gets There Again

Level 16 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ozgur Arda got through with a three-bet jam and forced folds from the initial raiser and cold-caller Ran Shahar.

Demos Demosthenous was all in once more and this time had a flip with {a-Spades}{10-Spades} versus Stuart Sewell, who held {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. The board came {k-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and Demosthenous got there eventually.

Sewell was left very short after having lost pretty much every all in showdown so far on Day 2.

Monteleone Doubles Through Arnautu

Level 16 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Aldo Monteleone
Aldo Monteleone

Aldo Monteleone started the day as one of the shorter stacks, but ended up all in and at risk just now on a {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} flop. Monteleone was called by Alexandru Arnautu for 73,500 and turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for top pair. Arnautu had {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flush draw and the {q-Spades} turn and {2-Hearts} river ruin out kept Monteleone in contention.

Tatu Eliminated by Stan

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Vlad Tatu
Vlad Tatu

Chris Moorman, Catalin Kukuv, Michal Lubas and Vlad Tatu have been eliminated in quick succession. For Tatu, it was an unfortunate timing to three-bet jam his short stack with the {q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, as Solomon Stan instantly called with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

The board came {q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and that spelled the end for Tatu.

Gray Eliminated by Yarynych

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jason Gray had been all in before the flop for around 25,000 on the button and two players remained active in the hand to see the {10-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. Mykola Yarynych moved all in for 70,000 out of the big blind and initial raiser Gabriele Re in the cutoff asked for a count, then folded.

Jason Gray: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Mykola Yarynych: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {j-Clubs} turn gave Gray two additional outs, but he bricked off with the {3-Clubs} river to hit the rail.
