Second Break of the Day

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Fewer than 34 players remain out of a field of 52 entries on Day 1a and they have been sent into a 25-minute break.

Kfir Ivgi has already busted and re-entered, he then jammed the last hand of the level and forced a fold to chip up on the second attempt.

Derek Lawless

Timothee Zogo checked the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop and Derek Lawless bet the button for 3,500. Gary Miller in the big blind moved all in and Zogo folded, while Lawless called it off.

Derek Lawless: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Gary Miller: {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}

The {7-Spades} turn and {3-Spades} river run out failed to improve last year's runner-up Lawless and he headed to the rail.

Lawless Loses Some to Bodner

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Derek Lawless bet the turn and river of a {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board for 2,100 and 6,000 respectively to table {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for eights and fives. Joseph Bodner had that beat with the {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and raked in the pot.

Ivgi Joins the Loses a Chunk

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Kfir Ivgi raised to 2,000 and was called by Gary Miller and Timothee Zogo to see a flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, on which the action checked to Miller. A bet of 2,800 followed and both opponents called.

The {6-Hearts} appeared on the turn and Ivgy was the only one to call a bet of 2,800. Ivgi then check-called a bet of 8,800 on the {a-Clubs} river and mucked when Miller turned over the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for trips aces.

Right after the hand was over, Iaron Lightbourne re-joined the action on his second bullet.

Four Tables in Play

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

As the field is losing players at a rather rapid pace, the next table broke and there are just 34 players remaining. Among the most recent to depart were Laurin Riechsteiner, Iaron Lightbourne and Juan Pablo Navarro Carral. Whether or not any of them will re-enter remains to be seen, unlimited re-entries are available all day long.

Miller Wins Some Off Ersoy

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Serkan Ersoy bet three streets small out of the small blind against Gary Miller in the cutoff and announced a jack on the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{7-Hearts} board. Miller had that beat with {a-Spades}{5-Hearts} for top pair to claim the pot.

Ersoy remains in the driver's seat at their table, however, as he has chipped up to nearly three times the starting stack.
