Kassouf Busts Schechter

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Alexander Schechter
Alexander Schechter

With the flop showing {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, Alexander Schechter got his stack of around 55,000 in against William Kassouf and was ahead but had to fade quite a few outs.

Alexander Schechter: {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}
William Kassouf: {j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board completed with the {7-Clubs} turn and {a-Clubs} river to give Kassouf a straight.

"Unlucky man," Max Deveson said as Schechter headed to the rail with the words "I got it in ahead."

Miller Wins Massive Pot Against Ivgi

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Gary Miller
Gary Miller

The board was all but rushed away as a big rail had gathered around the table of big stacks Matthew Anderson, Kfir Ivgi and Gary Miller.

Miller's stack was counted out and his {a-Spades}{10-Clubs} was still exposed. Other players provided the details as to what happened. Ivgi had raised the cutoff to 10,000 with {10-}{3-} and Miller just called to see a {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop on which the fireworks got their stacks in. It would have happened either way on the turn when the case ten gave both players a full house, the {2-Diamonds} river didn't matter.

Maria Lampropulos then raised to 10,000 from under the gun and Ivgi called, as did Anderson. On a {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, action checked to Ivgi and his shove for 36,000 got through.

Atshanti Busts to Schuman

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Abdullah Atshanti
Abdullah Atshanti

Abdullah Atshanti three-bet jammed his short stack out of the blinds soon after he was moved tables and Jonathan Schuman as the initial raiser called.

Abdullah Atshanti: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Jonathan Schuman: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The {2-Spades} turn gave Atshanti some additional outs but the {k-Diamonds} on the river was not what he was looking for.

Aces and Kings Meet Twice

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Neil van der Merwe and Dino Brivati
Neil van der Merwe and Dino Brivati

Just before the end of the level, Neil van der Merwe was all-in as a battle of the blinds escalated. The turn showed {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and van der Werve was at risk for around 95,000 with the {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. Table neighbor Dino Brivati instantly called with the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and the {a-Spades} river further improved Brivati to a set.

Moments later, Victor Ilyukhin Sr walked out of the tournament are and mentioned "kings versus aces" as well.
