A Double for Schuman

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jonathan Schuman
Jonathan Schuman

While Vikrum Mehta and Max Deveson ran out of chips, Jonathan Schuman was more fortunate in his showdown against big stack Nikolay Ponomarev. Schuman had three-bet shoved for 76,000 and Ponomarev reluctantly called.

Jonathan Schuman: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Nikolay Ponomarev: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

"You have been running pretty good on those today," Schuman said in table chat. The [Jc10d9h4cd2d] board was a sweat all the way but Schuman held up for the double, adding "that was the first one you missed."

Catalin Dumitrascu: {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

Skiscim Eliminated by Saliba

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Jacek Skiscim
Jacek Skiscim

After defending his big blind against the cutoff raise of 888poker ambassador Vivian Saliba, Jacek Skiscim was all in for around 100,000 on the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and received an instant call from Saliba.

Jacek Skiscim: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Vivian Saliba: {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Skiscim needed running cards to avoid the elimination and tapped the table in defeat when the {3-Spades} fell on the turn, which made the {3-Clubs} river meaningless.

Sharawi Bows Out After Dinner

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Conor O'Driscoll had doubled through Raafat Sharawi just before the dinner break and that left Sharawi with 28,000, which he jammed just now. A cold call followed and Ramlal Basdeo reshoved for 58,000 on the button, the cold-caller tossed in the chips for the call.

Sharawi was in trouble with [Kds9c] versus {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} already but Basdeo had the best of it with {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}. The board came {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Sharawi was the first casualty after dinner.

MacIntyre Eliminated

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Fraser MacIntyre
Fraser MacIntyre

Fraser MacIntyre was all in for around 70,000 with the {a-Spades}{9-Spades} and found himself dominated by Alexander Zeligman with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The board came {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and both players hit two pair to eliminate MacIntyre.

Just prior to that, Conor O'Driscoll had been eliminated on a different table when he ran with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} into the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} of Ion Albu. Nothing changed on the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades} board.
