A Double and Push Ups for Mrkaljevic

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Aladin Mrkaljevic had patiently waited for a spot to get his shorter stack into the middle and finally found one with the {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} on the button. Abderrazak Chah looked him up with the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and the {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop produced a set for the Dane.

"Let's fucking go," he said and then left his chair to do a couple of push ups on the live stream. However, the mandatory sweat followed on the {9-Hearts} turn only for the {4-Clubs} river to brick and keep Mrkaljevic in contention.

Banda Sent to the Rail

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

In a battle of short stacks, Fernando Banda was all-in with the {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Marc Granja Galante was ahead preflop in the small blind with the {a-Spades}{2-Spades} and prevailed thanks to the {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts} board.

Moments later, Esteban Calvet Martos was knocked out from one table over and there are currently 73 contestants still in the mix of which half will make the money.

Premium Pairs But Medium Pot Between Grasu and Baena

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Alin Grasu
Alin Grasu

In a three-bet pot to the {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Alin Grasu bet 12,500 out of the small blind and was called by Alex Baena from under the gun. The {j-Spades} followed on the turn and Grasu now check-called for 23,000. Both opted to check the {2-Diamonds} on the river and Grasu tabled the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}.

Baena flashed his {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and lost a pot that could have been significantly bigger in a battle between two overpairs to then get moved tables.

Razavi Doubles Through Khatri

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Over on the feature table, Melika Razavi caught a break when she was all-in with the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Bhavin Khatri held the superior hand in {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} when both flopped the top pair on the {q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}. However, Razavi caught running cards to a full house on the {k-Clubs} turn and {k-Diamonds} river to pull ahead of Khatri.

Heads-up to the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop, David Garcia Silva check-jammed into a bet worth 12,000 by Maria Ho and was instantly called by Ho with the superior stack.

David Garcia Silva: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Maria Ho: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

The {9-Hearts} turn instantly improved the Spaniard and the {q-Clubs} river didn't matter anymore. Their table broke right after and both ended up on the same table again.

Hauser Nearing Half a Million

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The next bigger pot over on table 53 was played between Kevin Nader and Sandro Hauser with the former on the button. On a completed board of {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}, Hauser pushed all-in with the far superior stack and that sent Nader into the tank.

Ultimately, no call followed as Hauser earned the pot without showdown. Nader then complained that Hauser had surpassed the 30-second shot clock on a previous street and his hand should have been declared dead even though the Swiss still has time bank chips behind.

No Second 888poker LIVE Title for Constantin in Barcelona

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Adrian Costin Constantin was spotted on his way out of the tournament area and Ricardo Freire Mateus was kind enough to provide the details for the elimination of the former champion. According to the Portuguese, he had jammed blind on blind into the shorter stack of Constantin who had around 26,000 behind.

The {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} of Freire Mateus fell behind versus {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} on a king-high flop that contained two clubs. Another club followed on the river and that spelled the end for the Romanian.
