Was One Pair Good for McNicholas?

The flop {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} checked to McNicholas who continued for 1,800. Boulton check-raised to 4,000 and McNicholas was the only caller.

The turn {10-Hearts} saw Boulton bet 2,400 and McNicholas called.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Boulton used a time bank before betting 2,800. McNicholas thought before shoving for 7,600.

Boulton used another time bank before folding, with McNicholas tabling {j-}{10-} for top pair.

"Almost a family pot," he said as the flop came {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. It checked to Jordon who continued for 1,200.

"A very unlikely two pair," he said as he got two callers.

"Nothing's unlikely with you," responded a stablemate.

The turn was the {8-Clubs}. Again it checked to Jordon who bet 2,600. Both opponents folded, with Jordon saying he had flopped a set of fours.

Action was all-in on the flop three ways. The flop was {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Shah Athar showed {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top two pair. Terry Jordan showed {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a flush draw. Luke Porter showed {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the nut flush draw with middle pair.

There was no help for Jordon or Porter on the runout and Athar held for the double knockout.
