Cerveny Spikes the River on Freire Mateus
Ladislav Cerveny bet 6,000 on a board of 4♣10♠4♠3♠ and 888poker Stream Team member Ricardo Freire Mateus called in the big blind, as did another opponent on the button.
The river came the 7♦ and Cerveny bet another 15,500 from early position. The button folded, but Freire Mateus called only to see Cerveny turn over 7♣7♠ for a rivered set to win the pot.
Cerveny's tablemate Josef Huber is currently sitting on a massive stack of 400,000, and he snapped a photo of the hand that got him that stack.
Huber and two opponents got their chips in the middle on the turn of a 10♦A♦3♦5♥ board. Huber had K♦4♦ for the nut flush, one opponent had J♦8♦ for a smaller flush, while another had A♣10♣ for two pair.
The river came the 6♦ and Huber scooped the massive pot to take the chip lead.
