Paraschiv Hates the River
Level 8
: Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Heads-up on a board of 6♣J♠2♦7♣, Gusti Sas bet 12,000 from middle position before Claudiu Paraschiv raised to 35,000 in the hijack.
Sas called to see the K♥ river and checked once more. Paraschiv smiled and shook his head, checking behind and turning over two queens. His instincts proved correct, as Sas showed K♦J♦ for two pair on the river to take the pot.
