Gicovanu Caught Bluffing as Vatseris Earns Big Double

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Marius Gicovanu bet 30,000 on a flop of 7A3 and Konstantinos Vatseris called in the big blind.

The turn came the 10 and Vatseris checked over to Gicovanu who bet another 120,000. Vatseris called and the J fell on the river.

Gicovanu then moved all in and Vatseris shot back in his seat. "I can't fold this," he eventually said, calling for his last 260,000 with AJ for two pair.

Gicovanu threw 76 into the muck as Vatseris doubled up.

Tudorel Counterfeited on the River

Level 18 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Costache Tudorel moved all in for 125,000 from earl position and Marius Gicovanu called before Gheorghe Velcea reshoved for around 550,000. Gicovanu gave it some thought before folding.

Costache Tudorel: 88
Gheorghe Velcea: AK

Tudorel needed to win the flip to stay alive as the flop came 99Q. He remained in front on the 2 turn, but the river brought the Q and counterfeited Tudorel's pair to give Velcea the pot, and the knockout, with his ace-high.
