Johnson Leads Right Into Harris' Trips

The flop came K♠8♠3♦ and Johnson checked over to Harris who bet 105,000. Johnson called with a pair and flush draw as the K♣ fell on the turn.

Johnson then led out for 95,000 and Harris called. The river came the 8♥ and Johnson bet another 350,000.

Harris snap-called with A♣K♦ for trips and Johnson mucked.

Penescu Pulls Ahead on the River

Yiannis Liperis raised every pot pre-flop after busting Tuan Le and took them all down uncontested until he opened again for 125,000 under the gun and Cosmin Penescu finally gave him some action in the hijack.

Both players checked the 7♣6♦8♣ flop and Liperis then led out for 75,000 on the 9♥ turn.

Penescu called to the A♦ river and action checked through again, Penescu showed A♣J♣ to beat Liperis' K♣9♣ with his rivered pair of aces.

Tuan Le opened to 125,000 in early position, Yiannis Liperis three-bet to 350,000 on the button, and Le called.

The flop came 5♣6♣Q♥ and Liperis continued for 275,000. Le then raised to 800,000 and Liperis called to the 5♠ turn.

Le then moved all in for 1,700,000 and Liperis snap-called, creating a nearly 6,000,000-chip pot between the players who began the hand first and second on the leaderboard.

Le showed A♠Q♣ for two pair, but Liperis had K♦5♦ and had spiked trips on the turn. Le was down to just two outs heading to the river, but no miracles arrived on the 6♥ and Le's tournament came to a crashing end.

Liperis Gets Little Action With Aces
