Maunders Triples, Then Busts

Four players went to the J♠Q♦9♥ flop where Dan Maunders led out with a bet for his last 6,100 in the small blind. The big blind called, as did an opponent on the button.

Both players then checked down the 7♥ turn and 4♦ river and Maunders showed Q♠5♥ for top pair that was enough to win the pot and triple up.

The next hand, Callum Gordon raised to 2,500 in middle position before Maunders shoved again, this time making it 26,000 on the button. Gordon snap-called.

Gary Miller had built his stack up past 200,000 as he three-bet to around 12,000 in the small blind. Man Li then moved all in for 40,800 on the button and Miller called.

Three-handed on a flop of J♠4♠6♠, Qing Feng Zheng bet 5,500 from under the gun and an opponent on the button called. Ali Abdulzahra then raised to 13,500 in the big blind and Zheng folded.

The button, though, moved all in for around 30,000 and Abdulzahra snap-called.

The all-in player was drawing to a flush, while Abdulzahra had flopped a flush and needed to hold on to win the big pot. The 5♥ turn was safe, and so was the 7♥ river as Abdulzahra scooped in the pot and sent his opponent to the rail.

Gary Miller three-bet to 8,500 in the hijack and Man Li called in middle position.

The flop came A♦A♠Q♠ and Miller continued for 4,600. Li again called.

"What's your kicker," Miller said as they headed to the 7♥ turn.

"My kicker is not bad," Li said, checking over to Miller again. Miller then checked back and the river came the 9♦.

Both players again checked and Li showed A♣8♠ for trip aces. Miller threw away the 6♠ as Li took the pot.

"I was trying to play nice," Li told him.

Heads-up on a flop of 6♦4♥5♦, Gary Miller bet 3,800 on the button before the hijack raised to 9,000. Miller called and the 7♠ fell on the turn.

His opponent checked this time and Miller bet 7,800. The hijack tanked for around a minute before calling to the J♣ river, where Miller bet another 15,000.

His opponent quickly called all in and Miller turned over 7♣7♦ for a turned set. The all-in player flashed A♠A♦ before making his exit as Miller continued to grow his stack into one of the biggest in the room.
