Alex Basford was already one of the biggest stacks in the room coming back from dinner and just grew his stack even more on one of the first hands.
Roni Tal limped in from the small blind before Basford raised to 2,600. Tal then three-bet to 9,600, Basford moved all in, and Tal called off his last 35,000.
Roni Tal: A♣K♣
Alex Basford: Q♠Q♦
It was a classic flip, and Basford's queens would stay in front on the 10♦6♥5♣5♥10♥ board to send Tal to the rail.

Heads-up on a flop of A♦K♥8♣, Brandon Harris bet 800 from middle position and Niall Farrell called in the hijack.
The turn came the 2♣ and Harris checked over to Farrell, who bet 4,000. Harris called and the Q♠ fell on the river.
Harris checked again and Farrell fired out 10,000. Harris didn't take too long before tossing his cards away.

Four players went to the turn with the board showing 6♠9♦Q♠2♠ when Christy Taylor bet 2,500 under the gun.
Action folded to Shuaida Cheng in the small blind who called to see the K♠ river. Cheng checked again and Taylor this time checked back.
Cheng then turned over A♠J♠, revealing he had the nut flush on the turn as Taylor got off cheap.

Terence Mitford was still stacking chips from the previous hand ("queens against eights. Eight on the river," tablemate Michael Rosaman said) when he called a pre-flop shove of 7,500 from big blind Keir Wallace.
Keir Wallace: 5♦5♣
Terence Mitford: A♠Q♦
The 7♥7♦9♦ flop kept Wallace in the lead, but Mitford spiked the A♣ on the turn to make two pair. The river came the 4♦ and Mitford stacked up another pot.

Nathan Jones raised to 1,600 in middle position and received one caller as action went on Edward Overall, who three-bet to 4,300 in the small blind. Jones then four-bet to 11,500 and Overall called.
The flop came K♠8♣A♠ and Jones bet another 6,500. Overall called as the 5♥ fell on the turn.
Jones then put Overall all in for his last 20,000. "Aces, huh," Overall said, tanking for several minutes until he committed his chips.
Jones shrugged and turned over K♦2♦ for just a pair of kings. "Wow," he cried out as Overall showed Q♦Q♣ and Jones found out he was still in the lead.
The river came the 3♣ and Overall was sent to the rail.
At the same time at another table, 888poker Ambassador Ian Simpson was all in for around 20,000 with K♥10♦ on a board of K♣8♣6♦10♣A♥. Matthew Eardley, though, had 9♠7♠ for a straight to win the pot and bust Simpson.
"I'll get it on my next bullet," Simpson said.

Heads-up on a flop of 5♦4♦Q♠, Daniel Bedson bet 1,200 in the cutoff, then called when big blind Ion Bivol raised to 4,200.
Both players checked the 10♣ turn before Bivol led out for 10,000 on the 8♦ river. Bedson took his time before calling.
Bivol then turned over A♦10♦ for the rivered flush and Bedson mucked.

Jozeph Yandle had a raise of 5,000 in front of him in the cutoff and John Bousfield then reraised to 11,800 under the gun. Ben Yandle then shoved for his last 30,000 and Bousfield snap-called.
Jozeph Yandle: A♥A♠
John Bousfield: K♦K♣
Bousfield had run into the ultimate cooler and was headed toward paying off Ben Yandle's double up as the board came 3♥Q♥J♠Q♦. The river, though, was the K♥ and Bousfield spiked a full house.
Ben Yandle instantly stood up from his seat and snapped a photo of the board before making his exit.
"What a f**king life," tablemate Richard Pearson joked with Bousfield.
