A winner will be crowned today in Madrid at the Casino Gran Via as the 888poker LIVE Madrid Main Event plays down to a winner.
Just 39 players remain — all in the money — and they're all in with a chance of winning €92,000 and becoming the first 888poker LIVE champion of 2023.
Leading the way is Nicolae Suciu who is the only player over 3,000,000 in chips. In fact, he's close to 5,000,000 in chips after a late surge saw him bag 4,765,000 — well clear of Antonio Vecino (2,900,000) and Adrian Garcia (2,860,000) who are his nearest rivals.

Four members of the 888poker team are still in on Day 3, the best-placed of which is Stream Team member Ricardo Mateus who bagged 1,090,000. 888poker Ambassador Lucia Navarro comes next with 850,000, with fellow Ambassador Alexandre Mantovani (375,000) and Stream Team's Josh Manley (380,000) both returning with less than ten big blinds.
Play will resume at 14:00 local time with blinds of 20,000/40,000 with a 40,000 ante. The levels will continue to be 45 minutes, but will increase to 60 minutes once a final table is reached.

Alexandre Mantovani raised to 285,000 leaving himself 90,000 behind. Nils Memmi called in the next position and the remaining players all folded.
The flop came .
"All in blind?" asked Memmi.
"That's not a good flop for me," replied Mantovani, before putting the rest of his chips in. Memmi pulled a face but still called.

Memmi was ahead pre-flop, but Mantovani had flopped a pair. The turn and river bricked and Mantovani got off to the best possible start on Day 3.

Fermin Bjerke was all in for 275,000 and was ahead with against the of Beltran Garcia.
The flop changed nothing but the turn gave flush outs to Garcia. However the river was enough for him to send Bjerke to the rail. Also eliminated in the first 15 minutes of the day wsa David Rodriguez.
